You might be wondering…

Where do I start?

All accounts start by signing up for the fully-featured free trial. The free trial lasts 30 days, includes all features, and supports up to 20 users. No credit card needed.

What happens at the end of the trial period?

At the end of the trial period, you can choose to continue using Testpad by selecting one of our subscription plans. If you decide not to continue, your account will be 'put on ice' (you won't be able to access your test plans) until you either delete it (if you don't want us to keep your data) or re-activate it by subscribing to one of the plans.

Can I upgrade or downgrade on a monthly plan?

Yes! Monthly plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any time using the self-service buttons on the subcriptions page within the app.

Can I upgrade or downgrade on an annual plan?

Annual plans can be upgraded at any time (which is handled as a pro-rated refund of the unusued portion of the year, and a pro-rated new charge for the remainder of the year on the new plan). We don't support downgrading an annual plan as the discount we give for annual plans is in return for making that annual commitment.

Is Testpad actually better than my spreadsheet-based test management?

We like to think so, and all of our happy customers agree, but try it for yourself!

Can I use Testpad for automated testing?

Not really, and not yet! Testpad is a manual test management tool, built to help you organise your manual testing. We are however working on an API to let you integrate your automated testing (i.e. display results of automated testing within Testpad) but Testpad still won't be a platform for hosting and executing automated testing.

But even if you have automated test frameworks (or grand plans to establish them), we still strongly encourage you to include manual testing in your QA process: both for exploratory testing that will always be best conducted by humans, and for all your regression testing that you haven't yet had time to automate – it's an easy mistake to fail to perform regression tests just because you haven't yet had time to setup the automation frameworks.

Can I cancel if I don’t like it?

What?! That never happens!

But seriously, yes, if you're on a monthly plan, you can cancel at any time. You will continue to have access to your account for the remainder of the most recent month you've already paid for, and then your plan will simply not renew the next month.
